Asset management giant Blackrock’s head of the onshore China business is leaving to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Blackrock head of China Tony Tang is leaving the firm to explore opportunities elsewhere, according to a «Reuters» report.

Tang started in the China role in 2019 and was formerly a Chinese securities regulatory official.

Susan Chan is now directly overseeing Blackrock’s China onshore business. Chan is the firm’s deputy head of Asia Pacific, head of Greater China and a global executive committee member.
