Chicago-based real estate specialist JLL has hired a new head of capital markets for Australia and New Zealand.

JLL appoints Luke Billiau as head of capital markets, Australia & New Zealand, according to a statement.  

In the expanded role, Billiau will lead a team of over 140 professionals in Australia across all major asset classes including office, retail, logistics, living and alternatives.

Billiau has more than 15 years of experience in Australia’s propriety sector and joined JLL in 2007. Most recently, he was concurrently the firm’s head of capital markets – New South Wales (NSW) and head of office investments - Australia. 

Market Confidence

According to the JLL Capital Tracker, Australia’s commercial real estate market registered $20.9 billion in transactions in 2022.
