Singapore-based bank appoints a new head of institutional banking in China and a group head of SME banking.

DBS, the largest bank in the city-state, on Thursday announced a number of significant appointments to its institutional business.

Joyce Tee was appointed as head of the institutional banking group for DBS China. Tee, previously the group head of SME banking, officially starts the new role on 1 January 2023 and will report jointly to Tan Su Shan, the group head of institutional banking, and Ginger Cheng, the country head of DBS China.

In the announcement, DBS also indicated that it had appointed Koh Kar Siong as the group head of SME Banking. Koh, currently the head of mid-cap, SME Banking at DBS, will report directly to Tan Su Shan starting from 1 January 2023.

Between 2015 and 2019, Koh was the head of consumer banking and wealth management at DBS China and joined the institutional banking business in Singapore in the middle of 2019.
