Mainland China is forested to lead the world in the net loss of millionaires in 2023, according to Henley & Partners, with the trend accelerating compared to last year.

China is expected to see the greatest exodus of millionaires worldwide in 2023 with a forecasted net loss of 13,500 high net worth individuals (HNWI), according to a report by Henley & Partners. 

This would mark a 25 percent increase from 2022 when mainland China saw a net loss of 10,800 HNWIs.

India is expected to register the second greatest net loss in 2023 at 6,500 HNWIs followed by the UK at 3,200 HNWIs.

Inflow Leader

In terms of millionaire inflows, Australia is forecasted to be the leader in 2022 with a net gain of 5,200 HNWIs.

This is followed by UAE and Singapore with a net gain of 4,500 and 3,200 HNWIs, respectively.
