At Swiss private bank Julius Baer, CEO Boris Collardi has appointed a deputy and has brought a new Chief Risk Officer on board.

Julius Baer has appointed Oliver Bartholet as chief risk officer and member of the Julius Baer Group and Bank Julius Baer, with effect from April 1 2018, according to a press release from the bank.

Bernhard Hodler , who has held this role since 2001, will remain a member of the management of Bank Julius Baer and will act as Deputy CEO. He will support the implementation of strategic projects and continue to lead the credit function.

Long-Standing UBS Employee

Bartholet currently serves as head Legal Group Regulatory & Governance at UBS. He began his banking career in 1995, after having previously worked in the public sector. He held various management positions at UBS, including global head of Tax and general counsel for Wealth Management & Swiss Bank.

He holds a doctorate in Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the University of Basel and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is a lawyer and member of the International Bar Association.
