As the company pushes further into the Asian marketplace, institutional data and analytics firm eVestment has named a new vice president of business development for the region.

Based in Hong Kong Lawrence Yin will be responsible for serving the needs of eVestment’s growing client base in Asia and developing new clients in the region the company said in a note to finews.asia.

Prior to joining eVestment Yin served as an assistant vice president of business development with Moody’s Investors Service in Hong Kong. While there, he worked to increase Moody’s market share and revenue in the greater China region.

Before joining Moody’s Investors Service, Yin held a series of positions with increasing responsibility at Macquarie Group across Asia Pacific.
