Inaugural Brunei Week to Launch in Singapore
Brunei products aim to woo foodie Singaporeans with the easy-to-cook taste of Brunei sauces and Brunei’s well-loved shrimp and fish crackers.
The Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) is pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural Brunei Week in September 2025, with a special Brunei pavilion showcasing 20 Bruneian brands.
Proudly supported by Royal Brunei Airlines as the strategic partner, the event will be housed under the auspices of MakBesar’s Grand Market 2025, which will be held from 5 to 7 September 2025 at Suntec City Convention Centre, Brunei Week will feature many first-time brands entering Singapore, whereby food sampling and purchase of these Bruneian-made products will be available at the event.
Tea Tarik and Hot Sauce
Brunei-specific tastes such as Tea Tarik Dust by Sabli’s, Sambal Tahai by Rizqussalam, Sambal Geprek by A.Ayam, and Pineapple Sunrise Hot Sauce by Volco Venture are set to whet Singaporeans’ taste buds with their unique profiles.
These products hope to find a permanent spot in kitchens across Singapore as mealtime complements. Meanwhile, Marimin’s shrimp and fish crackers will steal the stomachs of foodie Singaporeans searching for the perfect Southeast Asian snack, and Skinny Meal’s Root Juice aims to win over health-conscious foodies with its unforgettable juice blends.
Signed Agreements
Beyond Brunei Week, BEDB is also working with Singaporean distributors and retailers to make the products accessible to Singaporeans after Brunei Week. Meat Aliyah Rizq and Lim Siang Huat have both signed agreements and have active shipments of Brunei products entering Singapore.
While Meat Aliyah Rizq focuses on retail at its Woodlands outlet, Lim Siang Huat will concentrate on e-commerce sales with a new «Flavours of Brunei» page, complementing its current product ranges.
New Opportunities
«The Brunei Economic Development Board is excited about the opportunities that the inaugural Brunei Week will create for Brunei businesses. Over the past two years, our team has worked diligently to cultivate strategic partnerships aimed at showcasing and strengthening the visibility and market reach of our local products internationally, including the Singapore market,» Norlela Suhailee, Director of Enterprise Development, BEDB, said.
«Brunei and Singapore have enjoyed a longstanding and close relationship for many decades. We hope that our products will be warmly received by Singaporeans, further deepening the ties between our two countries through the creation of new opportunities for mutual growth,» she added.
