Hamilton Lane appointed co-heads for its Asia investments arm alongside a global head of co-investments.

The firm appointed Mingchen Xia and Collwyn Tan as co-heads of Asia investments, in addition to naming Jeff Armbrister as its global head of co-investments.

Xia and Tan have more than 30 years of combined experience in Asia’s private markets and joined Hamilton Lane’s co-investment team in 2011 and fund investment team in 2014, respectively.

«Mingchen and Collwyn have been vital to the expansion of Hamilton Lane’s Asia business,» said Juan Delgado-Moreira, vice chairman and head of Asia at Hamilton Lane. «As the Asia Pacific region continues to grow in importance within the private markets, we believe we are well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities there under their able leadership.»

According to Hamilton Lane, the firm globally manages more than $65 billion in discretionary assets across its investment platform, including over $1.1 billion deployed in 2018 into equity co-investments across a record number of funds and accounts.
