Citibank Singapore Chief quits after almost three decades of service at the bank. A Citi spokesperson confirmed the resignation.

Han Kwee Juan, the chief executive of Citibank Singapore has left the bank, according to a report in «Business Times» (behind paywall). It is unclear where Han, who took the reins as Singapore CEO in 2012, will be headed. 

Meanwhile, the bank has appointed Vikas Kumar, Citi Singapore's head of cards and personal loans, as the interim country business manager as it looks for a replacement.

Track Record

Han joined the U.S. bank in 1991 as a management associate after an internship the year before, said a staff memo on Friday. Over the years, he climbed up the corporate rungs to hold various senior roles across the Citi businesses.

During his time with the institutional banking team, he held leadership roles in the global cash and trade team, as well as the global relationship banking team in Singapore. Then in 2010, Han switched to consumer banking, with his appointment as head of credit payment products. He was later appointed head of the retail bank. In total, he was at the U.S. bank for 27 years.
