HSBC’s private banking arm has hired a former Credit Suisse executive to serve ultra-high net worth clients, finews.asia has learned.
Edith Wong has joined HSBC Global Private Banking as head of ultra-high net worth segment, North Asia, sources told finews.asia. When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the hire.
Wong rejoined HSBC after working for the British lender from 2000 to 2004. She was most recently at Credit Suisse for two years as a China market team leader. Previously, she also worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank and UBS.
