Paris-based BNP Paribas’ wealth unit has reportedly hired more than a dozen of new private bankers in Asia, as part of its Greater China growth plans.

BNP Paribas Wealth Management has hired around 20 private bankers in the last six months across Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing unnamed sources. 

This includes ex-Credit Suisse banker Martin Loh and ex-Standard Chartered banker Kate Lin who were recruited to head the China and Taiwan market, respectively, as reported by finews.asia. Other hires include ex-Morgan Stanley banker Tiffeny Situ and ex-Citi banker Wendy Chan as managing directors, as well as Angela Yang and Vicky Liu.

As of the end of 2022, BNP Paribas Wealth Management had estimated assets under management of $80 billion in Asia, according to finews.asia’s Private Banking AUM League Table.
