Malaysia-based banking software firm Silverlake Axis has announced the appointment of a chief sustainability officer.

Silverlake Axis (SAL) appoints Anil Singh Gill as chief sustainability officer (CSO), according to a statement. Gill has over 20 years of experience in financial services. He first joined SAL four years ago as group chief risk officer and senior executive vice president of strategic finance. 

«SAL’s appointment of a new CSO ensures that its future initiatives will align with the sustainability pillars of Business, People, and Stewardship established in the SAL annual ESG report which include embedding sustainable considerations in decision-making,» the firm said.

Founded in 1989, SAL is a Singapore-listed banking software company based in Malaysia. Today, it has over 400 customers in 70 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
