New York-headquartered JPMorgan has announced the appointment of a private banking head of Hong Kong and the Philippines.

J.P. Morgan Private Bank appoints Ernest Ho as head of Hong Kong and the Philippines, according to a note seen by finews.asia. He succeeds Paul Thompson, who has relocated to Singapore following his appointment as head of Singapore and Southeast Asia in June 2023.

Ho has 16 years of banking experience after first joining JPMorgan as an associate in 2007. Prior to that, he spent over a decade in the healthcare sector, including in a regional managerial role at a multinational pharmaceutical company.

When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the new hire.
