As he continues to integrate Credit Suisse, UBS CEO Sergio Ermotti said the next layer of management will be announced soon.

Sergio Ermotti is continuing to proceed according to the roadmap laid out for its integration with Credit Suisse. Speaking at the «Point Zero Forum» in Zurich, the UBS CEO talked about the next steps.

Over the next 20 days, the third level of management will be announced, with up to 1,500 employees having their responsibilities clarified.

Shortly after the acquisition closed earlier this month, UBS announced a series of management changes. In the process, the top two layers of responsibility within the bank have already been defined.

Satisfied by Integration Progress

Ermotti also said the bank would be able to give more details about the integration by the end of the summer. The bank delayed its second-quarter results until the end of August.

Overall, Ermotti said the integration is going very well and clients have also shown a lot of support, and the situation is stabilized.

Open to New Technologies

On the use of new technologies, Ermotti was also open to experimentation and collaboration with fintechs, according to the news agency «AWP», with innovations serving to make the back office more efficient, he said.

Artificial intelligence could make a contribution when an enormous amount of data is used, such as in the analysis of customer portfolios.

Ermotti's predecessor Ralph Hamers was a great proponent of technical innovation and agile working methodologies. He was replaced by Ermotti on April 5.
