A former UBS private banker and 25-year wealth veteran has joined Julius Baer’s Southeast Asia business, finews.asia has learned. 

Aline Pacheco joins Julius Baer as team head, Southeast Asia, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, effective immediately. In the role, she reports to group head of Southeast Asia Yang Vi Sun.

Pacheco has more than 25 years of wealth management experience, particularly in investment advisory. She was most recently working at UBS where she led client teams focusing on the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia markets. Prior to that, she was also the head of investment advisory teams in Singapore and Hong Kong as well as head of capital markets equities at the Swiss bank. Previously, she worked at Credit Suisse, Citi and ING.

A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
