Zurich-headquartered insurer Chubb has announced an internal promotion for the role of Asia Pacific head of the consumer unit.
Chubb promotes Ben Howell to regional head of consumer, APAC for the region's general insurance business, according to a statement, reporting to regional president for APAC Paul McNamee.
Howell has 20 years of insurance experience, most recently as Chubb’s regional head of accident & health (A&H) for APAC. Previously, he also worked for other insurers including Allied World, AIG and Chubb’s predecessor company in Sydney.
«Under [Howell’s] leadership as regional head of A&H, he has proven to be very innovative and entrepreneurial in expanding the product range of the business, building new relationships and strengthening major affinity partnerships,» said McNamee. «He has excellent management experience in engaging people across the business through clarity of vision.»
