A top investment banker at Rothschild is reportedly relocating to Dubai to capture opportunities from the growing Middle Eastern IPO market.

Rothschild’s Asia head of equity advisory Finlay Wright will relocate from Hong Kong to Dubai later this year, according to a «Bloomberg» report citing unnamed sources, where he is expected to be renamed had of equity solutions for the Middle East and Asia.

Wright has worked at Rothschild for over 17 years, including a decade in Hong Kong.

The senior shift marks yet another casualty for Hong Kong which has just recently announced plans to reopen its border. While the city has seen fundraising proceeds from new listings fall 78 percent, the Middle East is experiencing one of its best years for IPOs with four offerings exceeding $1 billion thus far.
