Former Equatex-CEO Appointed as Head of Business Development

Oliver Freigang, EWM

EWM, a global provider of compensation and investment plan administration services, has hired the former CEO of Equatex, a spin-off of UBS.

Oliver Freigang has joined EWM as Head of Business Development at its Zurich office, according to a statement on Wednesday.

In this newly created role, Freigang will help to further develop EWM’s equity plan administration business and will drive the global expansion of its target market beyond financial services into the corporate sector.

Extensive Knowledge From UBS

As former CEO of Equatex, a spin-off of UBS, Freigang brings extensive knowledge and experience to his new role. While at UBS, Oliver was responsible for significant growth in the bank’s share plan services division (CEFS), and lead the successful sale of the unit to a private equity firm.

EWM specializes in the administration of executive and employee compensation and investment plans, serving financial services firms globally. The company’s capabilities are spanning cash, equity, carried interest and co-investment plan administration, with participants in over 70 countries.
