Alix Partners has added another top shot to its team of consultants, shortly after the appointment of Hans Ziegler. This time, the company has managed to add first-class banking expertise to its portfolio.

Pascal Ravery on May 1 started as senior adviser for the Swiss team of Alix Partners, the company said in a statement today.

Alix Partners, which in Switzerland is managed by Beatrix Morath, has landed one of the best connected bankers in the country. Ravery was chairman of J.P. Morgan Switzerland, head of J.P. Morgan Securities Zurich and deputy chairman of the European investment bank at the U.S. institute.

Loyal Manager ranked him as one of Switzerland's most influential bankers. The Frenchman, 59, was loyal to J.P. Morgan for 23 years and worked for a further seven years at Goldman Sachs. He was one of the few experienced investment bankers instrumental in arranging mergers and acquisitions internationally.

Last year, Ravery founded Lakeside Capital Advisers, a Baar-based consultancy. With his company, he advises family shareholders, boards and companies in need of restructuring and reorganization.

Involved in Syngenta Deal

He was involved in the sale of SGS to GBL, the merger of Lafarge and Holcim as well as the sale of Syngenta to Chemchina.

Landing Ravery as a senior adviser is the second coup of Alix Partners within months. The company in January hired Hans Ziegler, the adviser specialized in turnaround mandates.

Alix Partners has 1,500 employees worldwide, with 25 branches and a Swiss representation since 2014.
