Manulife Hires Citi Global Head for Asian Role

International financial services group Manulife has announced the appointment of a Chief Marketing and Experience Design Officer for Asia, and a Chief Distribution Officer for the region.

Based in Hong Kong, both Francesco Lagutaine and Jason Denhi will report to Roy Gori, President and Chief Executive Officer, Manulife Asia. The positions will be effective April 1, 2016.

Lagutaine will take over the marketing and customer centricity function from Jason Dehni who currently serves as both Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Distribution Officer for Asia.

Francesco Lagutaine joins Manulife from Citibank in New York where he is Global Head of Client and Design. Prior to that he was Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Customer Franchise, Citibank Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for brand, marketing, analytics, customer experience and digital. He has a Law School Degree from Univesita’ Statale degli Studi di Genova in Italy.
