Responding to market developments, Latham & Watkins has appointed a trio of solicitors with extensive experience in private equity and leveraged finance in Asia.

The global firm has announced the addition of Simon Cooke, Gary Hamp and Amy Beckingham as partners in the Hong Kong office.

Latham & Watkins has an unusual structure as it has no formal headquarters, with the firm’s management spread throughout its global offices.

Cooke, Hamp and Beckingham possess extensive experience in private equity and leveraged finance in Asia important pillars of economic activity in the region and core areas of strength for the firm.

Strengthening Financial Practice

Cooke is a highly regarded M&A lawyer in Hong Kong and has worked on many of the largest recent transactions in Asia. Hemp advises on Hong Kong and cross-border financing transactions, representing banks, large corporates and private equity firms on leveraged finance matters, corporate loans, and restructurings. Beckingham specialises in private equity and other financial investor clients in public and private M&A and in structuring joint ventures.
