He spent more than 30 years in the services of Credit Suisse and built his reputation as a profound authority on corporate banking. Now he’s taking on a new challenge in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Long-standing Credit Suisse executive Andreas Gerber has been appointed as a new member of the group executive management at Liechtensteinische Landesbank (LLB) and will also lead the Retail & Corporate Banking division, as was announced by the bank on Thursday. He will take up his position in August 2024.

There, he will succeed Urs Mueller in the role. Urs Mueller has worked for the LLB group for almost 30 years, and spent more than 13 of those years in the group executive management. He will end his professional activity there at the end of 2024.

Group-Wide Responsibility

Gerber has more than 35 years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge of the corporate client business, which he has continuously built upon in various areas and roles at Credit Suisse (CS). Until July 2023, he was head of Corporate Clients and a member of the board of management at CS. He holds an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Business Administration and completed the Executive Program at the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) in Zurich and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, USA.

As head of the Retail & Corporate Banking division, he will be responsible for corporate and direct client business, Private Banking Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Germany, as well as Group Investment Advisory and Group Business and Sales Management across the group. Gerber will take over the operational management after a transition phase of two to three months. This is to ensure continuity in the management of the Retail & Corporate Banking division, the announcement went on to add.
