The business advisory firm is growing its offering in the region with the addition of two financial crime specialists.

Washington, D.C.-based FTI Consulting has hired Andrew McCarthy and Anna Bleazard to its financial crime compliance practice within the forensic and litigation consulting segment in Singapore, the company announced on Tuesday.

McCarthy joins as a senior managing director and leader of the financial crime compliance practice for Singapore and Southeast Asia, while Bleazard joins as a managing director, the announcement said. Both join FTI Consulting from Deloitte.

Field Expertise

McCarthy joined Deloitte in 2011 and transferred to Singapore in 2013. He primarily advised financial services clients on anti-money laundering, economic/trade sanctions, tax crime, and client suitability risks and related customer due diligence and transaction monitoring operating models and controls. He was previously a senior economic advisor in the U.S. Department of Defense.

Bleazard was with Deloitte from 2007, transferring from the U.K. to its Singapore office in 2011. She specializes in financial crime investigations, advisory and disputes work across Asia Pacific.
