German industrial insurer HDI Global has opened a new representative office in Thailand and appointed a new managing director to lead the unit.

HDI Global is expanding its footprint to the Thailand market by opening a representative office in Bangkok, according to a statement, following regulatory approval from the country's Ministry of Commerce.
