His appointment is one of several changes to its senior leadership team as the company strengthens its presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Global professional services firm Accenture has appointed Divyesh Vithlani as its market unit lead in Southeast Asia, the firm announced on Wednesday, along with several changes to its executive leadership team, effective September 1.
Vithlani, who joined the firm in 2017, currently leads its financial services group in Southeast Asia, and brings 25 years of experience in the banking and financial markets across Europe and Asia Pacific, including almost 17 years at Credit Suisse in Singapore and Zurich.
In his new role, Vithlani will be responsible for the company’s growth in the region, and will work with clients to solve their business challenges, Accenture said in the announcement.
New Chairman
Lay Lim Teo, currently market unit lead for Southeast Asia and country managing director for Singapore, was named chairman, a newly created role that «is a clear recognition of the importance of Singapore to the global Accenture organization,» the announcement said.

Teo (pictured above) joined the firm in 1988. In her new role, she will focus on strategy and policy issues which are top of mind for private and public sector companies, and will steward the development of Accenture's next generation of leaders in Singapore.
Taking over Teo's duties as Singapore country manager is Wee Wei Ng, who most recently led Accenture’s Health and Public Services group for Southeast Asia in the last six years.
