Two former asset managers of Switzerland's biggest bank have started their own firm, catering to wealthy clients.

The two former UBS managers are Alexander Joerger and Alexander Schlegel. They will start doing business with their Swiss Finance Boutique at the beginning of October, «private banking magazine» from Germany reported on Monday.

The company has its seat in Chur, the capital of the canton of Grisons. The services offered by the two range from the analysis of customer assets through the support of philanthropic projects and targeted fundraising for investment projects, the report said.

Widespread Network

Joerger and Schlegel aim to do business with customers based in Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria, the German-speaking region of Europe.

The two wealth managers have a widespread network of contacts in the canton of Grisons due to their years of doing business in the region.

Past Experience

Joerger managed the wealth management in the region for eight years and was responsible for 40 employees.

Schlegel led the unit catering to lawyers, fiduciaries and notaries for UBS Switzerland also in Grisons. Before joining the financial-services industry, Schlegel was working for OC Oerlikon, the industrial group based in the outskirts of Zurich, in the accounting and controlling unit.
