The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners has stated that the long serving Chief Executive will stand down.

STEP’s worldwide Board has announced that London based Chief Executive, David Harvey, will leave STEP on 30 June 2016. The organisation did not expand on the reasons for Harvey’s somewhat sudden departure.

In a group statement the board said, «During his 15 years as Chief Executive of the organisation STEP has gone from strength to strength and we wish to thank David for his hard work, vision, and commitment over all of those years. We wish him every success in the future.»

Significant Global Expansion

«It has been an incredible 15 years at STEP, working with gifted, exciting and dedicated members, colleagues and partners. I wish STEP, its members and employees and all of those they serve every success in the future. I have valued and enjoyed the opportunity to help build STEP around the globe, and to work with you all, thank you,» Harvey commented.

George Hodgson has assumed the role of Interim Chief Executive while arrangements to recruit a new Chief Executive are under way.

STEP currently has over 20,000 members across 95 countries. They include lawyers, accountants and other trust and estate specialists.
