Three weeks into DBS Accelerator, a collaboration between the Hong Kong office of DBS Bank and incubator Nest, the programme’s 10 startups participated in a “speed dating” session to connect with DBS HK executives for direct access to the bank’s mentorship resources.

During the half-day session, the startups introduced their innovative FinTech products and solutions and gained valuable insights from the DBS HK executives.

DBS and NEST are offering 3 months’ support for free, however there will be a warrant system in place allowing both DBS and NEST to potentially invest in a startup after the programme. This also means that selected startups will be part of the extended NEST network and will always be able to benefit from the business opportunities this link presents.

After the DBS Accelerator ends there will be an opportunity for the startups to showcase their products and services at a Demo Day, where a range of potential investors, which will include venture capitalists and influential industry leaders, will be able to see the propositions.
