UBS in Hong Kong have announced plans to open a new office at One Peking Road in Kowloon early in 2016. UBS's first office outside of Hong Kong's central business district will support the provision of wealth management services to entrepreneurs and other client segments in Kowloon and the New Territories.

"We are delighted to announce plans to open a new office at One Peking Road in Kowloon. High net worth entrepreneurs in Kowloon represent a significant and largely untapped opportunity for UBS. Underscoring our commitment in Hong Kong, the location is an ideal base from which to reach clients based in both Kowloon and the New Territories," said Amy LO, Head of UBS Wealth Management Greater China, and Country Head of UBS Hong Kong.

The new office will present significant opportunities for UBS to expand strategically in the Hong Kong domestic market and enhance its offering to clients there."Entrepreneurs remain the life-blood of Hong Kong's success and have always been a key client segment for UBS. Typically, they require advice not only for personal investments but also with regard to business expansion, wealth succession, and retirement planning. Our integrated bank offering is well placed to cater for these needs with a holistic range of products and services," added Lo. Located at One Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, the new office has a total gross floor area of over 23,000 sq. ft. One floor will have around 100 seats while the other will be used for client meetings and events.

In a related move, prominent advertising signage installed on the roof of the One Peking Road building is highly visible from Victoria Harbour and beyond. In addition, UBS plans to install a 12-storey-high wall advertising on the building in the next few months.

"The rooftop signage and wall advertising will be the bank's largest outdoor advertisement in the world. The grade-A office building is a strategic location and represents an incredible opportunity for us to enhance brand awareness in the local market and increase our presence in Kowloon," Lo concluded.

UBS launched their 50th anniversary in Asia celebrations in September last year by unveiling of new skyline signage on Singapore's One Raffles Quay.
