As we end the first week of the month here is a round up of people moves in wealth management across the region.

Hong Kong:

Mark Dormer moved from Bank of Singapore to fellow Singapore bank DBS Private Bank, he is covering International clients.

Will W. Wang joined BSI as the head of investment counseling. Wang came from Barclays in Hong Kong where he was the head of active advisory for North Asia.

The joint venture company between Haitong Securities and BNP Paribas Investment Partners, HFT Investment Management Co Ltd, has appointed Patrick Liu as chief executive. Liu has over 16 years of experience in asset management and financial services including as head of the Greater China Global Client Group at Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management.

Standard Chartered Private Bank hired Stephanie Zhang who will be covering the bank’s UHNW clients across Greater China.

French bank BNP Paribas appointed Eva Chan to the Greater China team.

Singapore:

The appointment of Eric Morin to lead Union Bancaire Privee in Asia and therefore the integration of Coutts International and UBP in Hong Kong and Singapore was the weeks biggest move.

Credit Suisse are said to be hiring Torsten Linke, to cover the Indonesian market, he recently left Standard Chartered and is reported to be joining the Swiss bank in July.

Australia:

Former AMP chief executive Craig Dunn has joined Westpac Banking Corp's board as an independent director, giving the bank additional insight into the country's burgeoning fintech sector. Mr. Dunn also has extensive experience in wealth management, having been AMP chief executive from 2008 to 2013.

Alliance Bernstein has appointed Jeremy Browne as managing director for the institutional side of the business, the Australia Client Group. Browne will report to AB chief executive in Australia and New Zealand Jen Driscoll.

Simon Duckett, Charles Moore and Mark Pollasky all joined boutique wealth manager Koda Capital in Sydney.
