Blackrock has hired a former Goldman Sachs executive to bolster its passive business in Asia.
Nicholas Peach joins Blackrock as head of APAC markets and investments for iShares and index investments, according to a statement, effective May 2023.
Based in Hong Kong, Peach will be responsible for leading the APAC iShares markets and index investments team in the delivery of ETFs, investment management of portfolios and support for market development.
Peach joins Blackrock from Goldman Sachs where he was most recently head of APAC equities electronic services. Prior to that, he was head of the algo development micro franchise strategy group at Goldman where he was responsible for the design and implementation of multiple projects across the region.
