Singapore-based digital wealth manager Endowus hires two new executives from Morgan Stanley’s wealth business in Asia and the US.

Endowus has appointed Sean Wong as head of investments and Min Axthelm as director of research, according to a statement by the investment advisor.

Wong has 14 years of experience in the industry, most recently at Morgan Stanley’s private wealth management arm in Asia where his last position was as head of offerings. In that role, Wong was tasked with identifying, selecting, selling, and distributing fee-based products and discretionary portfolio offerings for clients. Before that, he was a portfolio manager for Morgan Stanley’s discretionary fund-of-funds portfolios.

Axthelm has over a decade of experience in the investments. She was previously at Morgan Stanley in New York where she was a lead analyst in its wealth management global investment office, focusing on due diligence for US equity strategies and mutual funds. Before that, she worked at Wells Fargo, Morningstar, and Dimensional Fund Advisors, one of Endowus' strategic partners.

Rapid Expansion

Endowus, founded in 2017, has since seen its assets under advice grow to over S$1.5 billion ($1.1 billion) while its client base has increased 10-fold as of end-2021. In its last round of funding, the fintech firm raised S$67 million.
