The founder of crypto broker Bitcoin Suisse fulfilled a lifelong dream: a World War II-era tank he plans to plow through the snowy Swiss winter in.

Niklas Nikolajsen isn't known for being shy about his opulent lifestyle of private jets, expensive timepieces, and luxury dining – as well as his fondness for historical weapons of all types thanks to his social media presence.

The Danish self-styled pirate's latest purchase is a tank destroyer used during World War II and known as the fastest U.S. armored fighting vehicle on the road, according to «Facebook». Nikolajsen is wealthy thanks to an early investment in bitcoin: he set up a family office and is pouring millions into a painstaking renovation of a historical Zug landmark.

Navigating Snowy Zug

The $596,898 Hellcat should arrive in Switzerland in a few months, pending import and weapons licenses. «We get a lot of snow in Zug and it is not always easy to get to work in the winter. This problem is now solved for me and my family,» he wrote on social media.

Will Nikolajsen park the fully functional tank next to his Bentley, customized with a bitcoin symbol in place of the usual «Flying 'B'» mascot? And will the Danish software architect and developer, who apparently doesn't have a driver's license, bypass driving lessons in favor of learning to maneuver the 20-ton tank?
