The chief executive of JPMorgan Chase & Co’s international private banking arm has resigned to join Hong Kong’s stock exchange.

Nicolas Aguzin is exiting the American lender to join Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing as its chief executive, according to a statement.

Aguzin replaces another former J.P. Morgan in Charles Li, oft-dubbed «Mr. China», who resigned in May 2020 and left before the end of the year.

Aguzin has deep experience in the region after serving as J.P. Morgan’s chairman and CEO of Asia Pacific from 2012 to 2020. Previously, he was also the bank’s Latin America CEO between 2005 and 2012.
