The new wealth centre comes amid strong growth in the bank's assets under management for high net worth customers in Hong Kong.

On Wednesday HSBC has opened the doors to «K11 Atelier», which will provide high-net-worth (HNW) clients with investible assets of at least $1 million with an enhanced in-person experience, backed by a range of advanced and tailored wealth solutions.

The opening of the wealth centre at Victoria Dockside in Tsim Sha Tsui «embodies HSBC’s commitment to support the strong demand for wealth management services in Asia,» the bank said in a statement.

According to HSBC, its wealth business has been experiencing strong in the region, particularly in the HNW segment, with AUM for HNW clients in Hong Kong up nearly 30 percent year-on-year, as of the end of June in 2021, alongside a double digit growth in wealth income.

At the same time, schemes like Wealth Management Connect are set to strengthen the financial connectivity between mainland China and Hong Kong, bringing an influx of HNW clients.
