Hong Kong’s financial regulator has granted HashKey Capital an upgrade to its license, enabling the crypto firm to serve retail investors.

Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission has granted HashKey Capital an upgrade to its licensing condition to serve retail investors, according to a statement, waiving its previous condition to serving professional investors only.

«This development not only demonstrates our leadership in the industry but also opens up exciting opportunities for retail investors to access our fund products and participate in the growing digital asset market through a trusted and regulated platform,» said Deng Chao, head of HashKey Singapore and CEO of HashKey Capital.

Bosera Tie-Up

The latest license upgrade follows a strategic partnership announced earlier this month with Bosera International – a subsidiary of Shenzhen-based Bosera Asset Management – aimed at exploring financial products such as spot crypto exchange-traded funds.

HashKey Capital has managed over $1 billion in client assets since its inception with over 500 investments in infrastructure, tools and applications.
