British bank HSBC has added a former vice-chairman and chief executive of DBS to its board.

Jackson Peter Tai is a former J.P.Morgan Chase investment banker who served as chairman for the Asia-Pacific region before joining DBS, according to several media.

The «New York Times» added that Spencer Lake, HSBC's vice-chairman of global banking and markets, is leaving the bank after 10 years.

Tai is is the fourth director to join HSBC's board this year as the search continues for a successor to chairman Douglas Flint, said the paper.
