After receiving her doctorate as a lawyer she joined UBS in 1999, where she gradually climbed the career ladder. Most recently she was the Chief Financial Officer for Asia Pacific. Now she leaves the bank.

Swiss Dagmar Maria Kamber Borens was most recently the Regional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for UBS Asia Pacific based in Singapore. A role she has held since September 2012. Now as research reveals by finews.asia, Kamber is parting ways with the bank.

A UBS-spokeswoman confirmed the information, but did not want to give any further comments. The departure is a bitter blow for the Swiss bank, as Kamber spent her entire professional career with UBS and was hailed as a «flagship woman» in the industry.

Serving the Chairman

After her doctorate in law at the University of Basel Kamber began her career in UBS Private Banking before then moving into the strategic area of Mergers and Acquisitions, (M&A) in London after the turn of the millennium.

For four years (from 2004 to 2008), she worked as an Executive Director in the Chairman's Office, later she became Chief of Staff in the CFO Group. Then, in autumn 2012, the mother of three moved to Singapore.

Soon at Credit Suisse?

Rumors are now circulating that Kamber could join Credit Suisse to take up the post of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in the Swiss Universal Bank. In this case, she would report to Swiss-CEO Thomas Gottstein. Currently Michael Sager acts as the COO.
