Clyde & Co has made several changes to its Asia Pacific management structure. These include appointing its present Hong Kong Managing Partner to be the new head of its Singapore operations while naming a new Managing Director of Asia.

In China Ik Wei Chong, who leads Clyde’s shipping, insurance and dispute resolution practice, out of the Shanghai office, has been appointed Managing Director for Asia.

Meanwhile the firm has added Hong Kong based partners Simon McConnell and Gloria Jones to Clyde & Co’s Asia Pacific Management Board. McConnell is also to become the new Managing Partner for Hong Kong.

McConnell will be replacing Michael Parker, the incoming managing partner of the Singapore office. Parker, in turn, replaces Brian Nash, the current Singapore Managing Partner, who will remain with the firm as a consultant.
