SS&C Technologies has announced the appointment of a Managing Director for Malaysia.

The Connecticut based firm SS&C Technologies is continuing its regional expansion in Asia with the appointment of Kok Cheong Hong as Managing Director, Malaysia, according to a press release sent on Tuesday.

In his new role Hong will oversee operations including sales, service delivery and strategic accounts. He will report to Christy Bremner, General Manager, SS&C's Institutional & Investment Management division.

Financial Software Knowledge

Hong brings more than 26 years of experience leading business operations and sales for notable global technology providers and most recently served as Country General Manager for IBM's software group in Malaysia. He has also held management positions at companies including Genesys, Telecommunications Laboratories, NCR, Sun Microsystems, and Informix.

«Kok Cheong Hong has broad regional experience and a proven track record in Southeast Asia, we are pleased to have him on board and look forward to working with him to execute on our plans,» said Bremner.

Hong earned a B.S in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in the United States before returning to Malaysia to start his career in technology and financial software solutions across Southeast Asia.
