Rothschild, the Zurich-based private bank, has hired an experienced banker who was Managing Director at Temasek to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia.

Rothschild appointed Henry Ho (Ho Hon Cheong) as non-executive chairman for Southeast Asia, the bank said in a statement today.

Ho will be based in Singapore and work closely with the global financial advisory and wealth management and trust teams of Rothschild in the region.

Extensive Contacts

With the appointment, Rothschild shows its commitment to an expansion in the region across all divisions and its will to expand its presence.

With his extensive contacts, not least to the Singapore state fund Temasek, Ho is well placed to spearhead the Rothschild project in Asia.
