Bangkok based Bee Taechaubol revealed this week he was on the verge of becoming the new majority shareholder at Italian Serie A club AC Milan. Taechaubol is said to be traveling to Milan this weekend to finalise the details.

According to the Italian media the Thai investor has reached an agreement with club owner Silvio Berlusconi. The deal structure will see Bee Taechaubol acquire 20 per cent of shares initially before his portion reaches 65 per cent next year in a deal reportedly worth in the region of 780 million euros.

It was also reported that should Berlusconi change his mind - he is apparently in talks with Chinese investors over the potential sale of the club - he would have to pay a multi-million penalty.

One thing for certain it seems the new owners of the legendary Italian club will be Asian.
