Citi has announced two new appointments in its Commercial Bank in Asia Pacific, supporting its fastest growing businesses.

In a newly created role for Citi, Amit Dhawan has been appointed Asia Pacific Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) business head.

Dhawan will be based out of Singapore and report to Ashish Bajaj, head of commercial banking Asia Pacific, the bank said in a statement.

In this new position he will focus on building a sustainable growth strategy for this client segment that covers small and medium sized enterprises. Dhawan is currently the head of commercial lending management for the Commercial Bank in Asia.

Digital Engagement 

Citi has also announced the appointment of Rodney Lee as the Asia Commercial Bank digitization head.

In his new role, Lee will focus on formulating and executing the Commercial Bank’s digitization strategy and work to implement a radically digitized and simplified client experience.

He is currently the head of sales strategy & client experience for the Commercial Bank in Singapore and will continue to be based in Singapore.

Asian Rise

Last week Citi globally reported its second quarter numbers with Asia pitching in as one of the strongest contributors to these results.
