Axa Investment Managers received regulatory approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to bolster its offering.

Two additional short duration funds have been approved in Hong Kong and are now available to investors, the firm said via a media statement.

This includes the Axa World Funds Asian Short Duration Bonds and the Axa World Funds Emerging Markets Short Duration Bonds funds (the Funds).

Managed by Axa IM’s Asian Fixed Income team and global Emerging Markets Debt team respectively, the Funds are aimed at investors who are searching for yield and want to diversify their assets in what remains an uncertain market environment globally.

For these Funds, there is a risk of capital loss limited to invested capital. «We believe that Asian short duration bonds, which have both, a lower sensitivity to interest rates and the strong fundamentals of Asian credit, may offer a compelling solution to investors searching stable total returns,» said Jim Veneau, Head of Fixed Income Asia.
