Credit Suisse Asset Management has created a job for improving its relationships to other private banks. The hire comes from Blackrock.

The Swiss bank's asset management arm in Hong Kong has hired Christina Kautzky as head of third-party distribution for Asia, excepting Japan, according to a memo seen by finews.asia.

She will be responsible for building Credit Suisse Asset Management's (CSAM) relationships with third party private banks in the region and finding opportunities to partner and collaborate to deliver investment ideas, products and solutions.

In this newly created role, Kautzky reports to Michael Levin, Head of Asset Management in Asia Pacific.

Entrepreneur Turned Banker

Prior to joining CSAM, Kautzky was with Blackrock in Hong Kong as a director, where she was most recently Head of Family Offices & Fund of Funds for Asia. Previously, she was a product specialist with Blackrock's Alternative Investment Strategy Group.

From 2005 to 2011, Kautzky founded and ran a boutique financial communications company, Communicate Financial, which operated in Tokyo and Hong Kong to service small funds and asset managers in Asia. She studied literature and French.
