Malaysian bank CIMB has announced the appointment of a Chief Fintech Officer for its newly set-up unit, CIMB Fintech, a new standalone unit aimed at actively exploring innovative banking solutions.

Olivier Crespin, who until recently was Group Head Digital Bank at DBS in Singapore, is scheduled to begin his new role with CIMB FinTech in June 2017, subject to regulatory approvals, the bank said on their website

Crespin (pictured) stepped down from his DBS role earlier this year as finews.asia reported at the time. He was quoted as saying he was leaving to pursue a new role in another organisation outside Singapore.
