UBS Singapore has lost a senior specialist banker to its Swiss rival Julius Baer, finews asia can report. Under the leadership of CEO Jimmy Lee, Julius Baer has been aggressively hiring for its Asian business units.

Magdalene Low is joining the Zurich based bank covering Singaporean and Southeast Asian clients, a Julius Baer spokesperson confirmed the move.

At UBS Low, who was an Executive Director, co-headed the Singapore onshore team and also covered Malaysia, along with Urs Grueter who left UBS earlier this year as finews.asia also reported at the time. It is not known if Grueter will again be linking up with Low.
