Accounting and consulting firm Deloitte has announced a change of leadership in China. With 24 offices and 13,500 people across the Middle Kingdom, Deloitte is one of the largest professional services providers in the country.

Philip Tsai will become Chairman, succeeding former Chairman and retired partner Clement Hung. Pauline Zhang is to become the Vice-Chairlady of Deloitte China.

A chartered accountant, Tsai has a strong reputation in the local accounting profession, he served as the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 2011. He is also known as a business figure with an extensive portfolio of public and community service appointments.

Tsai has been a Board member of the China Firm since 2012 and has over 30 years of audit experience supporting local and multinational companies in a wide spectrum of industries.

Pauline Zhang 508Zhang (pictured left) has over 20 years of experience advising local and multinational companies on the most complicated tax, regulatory and business issues in China. Prior to joining Deloitte, she was a senior official of Foreign Taxation Department and Tax Reform and Legislative Department of the State Administration of Taxation of China. She participated in the drafting of many major tax laws and regulations, including the Income Tax Law for Foreign Investment Enterprises and Foreign Enterprises.
