Standard Chartered Private Bank has made an addition to its Hong Kong wealth management team with the appointment of a new Head of Investment Advisory.

In recent months Standard Chartered Private Bank (SCPB) has made a series of hires in both Hong Kong and Singapore as Didier von Daeniken, Global Head, Private Banking and Wealth Management continues to build out his business.

finews.asia has been informed that Barry Chan has been appointed as Head of Investment Advisory, Hong Kong at SCPB. Chan is the ex-Head of Investment Consulting at Julius Baer Hong Kong.

When contacted a spokesperson for the bank did not confirm or deny the new hire.

SCPB Steadily Hiring

Earlier this month the bank announced that former Barclays NRI Head  Srinivas Siripurapu would take on the new position, of NRI Regional Head, Private Banking, ASEAN & South Asia and Global at SCPB in Singapore. Other former Barclays Wealth bankers have been rumoured to be re-joining their former boss von Daeniken.
