The head of Deutsche Bank's operations in Asia-Pacific is leaving next month after 13 years with the German bank.

Gunit Chadha, who has been sole chief executive of Deutsche in Asia-Pacific since last year, is leaving the bank effective July 17, according to a memorandum to staff seen by finews.asia.

Chadha had been with Deutsche Bank since 2003, when he joined as head of India. He was named as co-CEO for Asia-Pacific in 2012, and took on sole responsibility for the role last year.

Latest High-Profile Exit

Deutsche Bank CEO John Cryan thanked Chadha for his role in developing the bank's business in Asia, and said a successor would be named in due course.

Chadha is the latest in a string of high-profile exits Deutsche, which is in the midst of a painful and extensive restructuring under Cryan, a former UBS investment banker and later finance chief. In March, compliance chief Nadine Faruque left the bank, while prominent German wealth management executive Joachim Haeger departed in April.
